Job summary

Rider Levett Bucknall seeks an Associate Director to lead project cost management and quantity surveying across all project phases. You will develop budgets, cost plans, and bid documentation, provide strategic financial advice, and manage procurement and change control to protect budgets and client interests.

You will mentor junior staff while building strong client relationships, supporting business development, and ensuring delivery aligns with client objectives and company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in construction or equivalent plus 8+ years in construction cost estimating
• Strong cost management and value engineering capabilities
• Knowledge of industry-estimating software and MS Office

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of cost management and quantity surveying across all project phases
• Develop budgets, cost plans, estimates, cash-flow forecasts, and bid docs
• Provide strategic cost advice and financial analysis to optimize project value
• Manage procurement, bid evaluations, contract awards, and payments
• Track costs, change orders, forecasts, and final accounts; mitigate risks
• Build client relationships and support business development
• Mentor and develop junior staff and contribute to technical training
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams on objectives and schedules
• Review change orders and ensure compliance with contracts and procedures
• Ensure cost management processes meet standards and best practices
