Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Cost Manager in the United States to lead pre-contract cost management, budgeting and cost planning across a range of projects. You will manage changes, analyse tenders, and prepare final accounts while mentoring teams and building strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Senior Cost Manager, ideally from a consultancy background.
• Experience in pre-contract cost management, budget control and cost planning.
• Chartered status or path to chartered status is a plus.
• Degree in project management or construction discipline or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in tender/bid process from documentation through analysis and reporting.
• Manage the change management process—identifying, analyzing, approving and implementing changes.
• Analyze tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
• Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including claims handling.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend with valuations and cost reports and communicate variations clearly.
• Support nimble project management through cost documentation and timely communication.
• Support settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
• Foster mentorship and leadership to develop team performance.
