Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a Cost Billing Specialist in Harrisburg to apply cost accounting principles and deliver detailed expense and revenue information. This role reports to the office and is a full-time hourly position.

Responsibilities include preparing cost reports, developing forecasts, issuing invoices, and leveraging multiple software systems to support program objectives while improving processes for accuracy and efficiency. Nonprofit sector experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Accounting or related field; 2–4 years of related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 2–4 years of cost accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
• Experience in nonprofit sectors a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze cost reports and interpret contract requirements.
• Develop forecasts and communicate budgets to internal departments.
• Issue invoices supported by contract requirements and data.
• Navigate multiple software systems to support objectives.
• Continuously evaluate and improve processes for efficiency and accuracy.
