Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing finance team in the United States. You will maintain accurate costs, analyze BOMs, and support pricing decisions to improve profitability.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting or related field and at least 5 years in manufacturing cost accounting, with strong cost systems and an eye for detail. This on-site role offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
5+ years of accounting or BOM-related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Sound understanding of accounting principles.
Solid cost systems background.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate system pricing for products, models, and options.
Analyze product and project costs to identify trends, variances, and cost-reduction opportunities.
Develop and maintain cost estimates for new and existing products, models, options, and projects.
Compare estimated costs to actual production costs and identify root causes of variances.
Evaluate impact of changes in material and labor costs on pricing, margins, and profitability.
Identify waste and inefficiencies to improve manufacturing costs and profitability.
Prepare detailed cost analyses and management reports summarizing drivers and profitability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate costs and support pricing decisions.
Maintain documentation and records of cost analyses and recommendations.
Conduct or assist audits of current and historical projects to validate costs.
