Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Cost Analyst in New Orleans to assemble and present cost data to Project Managers and Operations Management. You will forecast costs, review budgets, and support earned value activities across project lifecycles.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with SAP and Excel, and the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders under deadlines. Travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project controls experience, including cash flow forecasting and analysis.
• Experience working both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills to interface with internal, client, and regulatory counterparts.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and review cost forecasts, accruals, and budgets throughout project lifecycle.
• Compile and analyze actual job cost data from accounting systems and prepare forecasting workbooks.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to review change orders, verify committed costs, and support scope change requests.
• Assist in project budget setup and earned value structure development at project initiation.
• Communicate data and trends to Project/Operations Management clearly and timely.
• Support Stage Gate Process by evaluating project development and control deliverables.
• Conduct analysis and reporting on assigned projects, including cost/schedule performance against multi-year budgets.
• Utilize KPIs like CPI and EAC for cost analysis.
• Identify cost variances and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Travel minimally as needed.
