Job summary

Woodcraft Industries in Minnesota is seeking a Cost Accountant to deliver accurate inventory valuation and product cost data, supporting profitability and pricing decisions across our manufacturing operations. You will maintain standard costs in the ERP system, perform monthly closes, reconciliations, and support SOX controls, with emphasis on cost accuracy and process improvement.

3+ years in cost accounting and a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance are required; proficient Excel skills and ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 3+ years of cost accounting experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate inventory valuation and product cost data per GAAP and company policy.
• Prepare quarterly standard cost roll reflecting raw material cost changes.
• Analyze profitability and product margins; develop standard costs for finished goods and components in ERP.
• Support cycle counts and physical inventories; ensure ERP accuracy through audits.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly financial statements.
• Assist in annual budget/plans and cost-control initiatives.
