Resonetics in Minnesota is seeking a Cost Accountant to support inventory costing and cost of sales within a rapidly growing organization. You will work with our accounting team to track materials, perform variance analysis, and help maintain accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting Related Field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Cost Accounting work.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles.
• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Help to track and monitor raw materials and consumables inventory.
• Support with the identification of potential excess and obsolete inventory in coordination with Supply Chain and Operations.
• Aid in monitoring job close variances and provide root cause analysis.
• Assist in month end close process for inventory and cost of sales.
• Responsible for preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations, for areas such as inventory, work in process, job variances, returned material, cost of sales.
• Maintain financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
• Assist in preparing reports required for financial audits and management as needed.
• Contribute in the ongoing maintenance of our ERP system to maintain accurate information and proper accounting.
• Develop process controls and documentation.
• Maintain detailed and organized accounting records.
• Coordinate and / or support cross-functional requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.
