Job summary

Kforce's client in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Tax Accountant to join the corporate tax team of a large, established organization. This role offers exposure to tax provision, compliance, planning, and research in a complex corporate environment.

The ideal candidate has a solid corporate income tax background from public accounting or industry, with ASC 740 experience and strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years corporate tax experience in public accounting or industry.
• Experience with corporate income tax compliance and ASC 740.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with large data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• CPA or Master's in Taxation is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provisions.
• Prepare federal and multi-state corporate income tax returns.
• Support estimated tax payments and tax account reconciliations.
• Assist with deferred tax calculations and tax expense analysis.
• Research tax issues and document conclusions.
• Support tax audits and inquiries from authorities.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Finance to gather tax information.
• Identify process improvements in tax reporting and compliance.
• Work on special corporate tax projects as needed.
