Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking an associate to join our corporate practice with 3–6 years’ experience advising clients on corporate insurance matters, including placements and claim management for D&O, reps & warranties, and cyberliability. This role is primarily based in Palo Alto, San Francisco, or New York, with other US locations considered; not remote.

Qualifications

• JD required from an accredited law school.
• 3+ years in corporate insurance matters strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong research and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case and transaction work.
• Draft well-written, error-free briefs, motions, contracts, and correspondence.
• Manage case/transaction work from inception to resolution with sound judgement and diligence.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through timely updates and professional service.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop effective strategies and solutions.
• Support high-level legal activities including hearings, negotiations, and closings.
