Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a Manager of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis to support corporate reporting and forecasting. You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing long‑term scenarios with a focus on AI-enabled process improvements.

The role requires 2–4 years of FP&A or related experience, strong Excel/PowerPoint proficiency, and the ability to collaborate across teams in a fast‑paced environment. Massachusetts-based, full‑time position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years’ FP&A, private equity, or similar experience.
• Knowledge of Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow statements.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Aptitude for leveraging AI in transforming operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform ad hoc analyses across corporate initiatives requiring spend, investments and transformations.
• Build and maintain models for long‑term decision support and P&L impact.
• Develop financial projections for planning and investments, including pro forma M&A.
• Assist in market and competitor intelligence and opportunity analysis.
• Prepare budgeting and forecasting decks for executive discussions.
• Lead FP&A activities with business partners including budgeting and revenue/expense drivers.
• Identify efficiency opportunities from unit economics.
• Provide insights on performance trends and analyses.
• Streamline planning and reporting processes, including AI-enabled tools.
• Support external investor presentations and data requests.
