Job summary

Nirvana is seeking to expand its Corporate Development team in San Francisco to support M&A, strategic investments, and partnerships across the insurance value chain. You’ll work with Strategic Finance, Insurance and Claims leadership, informing executive and board decisions.

This high-visibility role offers hands-on deal experience at a fast-growing InsureTech company, with opportunities to take on more ownership as the function grows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with experience evaluating complex transaction opportunities.
• Familiarity with financial services or FinTech is a plus; insurance or InsureTech experience is a bonus.
• Able to turn complex analysis into clear, concise materials for senior audiences.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple workstreams at once.
• Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
• Self-starter who independently seeks out opportunities to learn & succeed.
• Bias-to-action: not afraid to get your hands dirty and stretch yourself.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships, including valuation, returns, and scenario analysis.
• Support due diligence processes across financial, commercial, and operational workstreams, coordinating with internal teams and outside advisors.
• Track the deal pipeline and sourcing initiatives, including market mapping and target screening across the MGA, claims, and data sectors.
• Prepare materials and analysis for executive and board-level discussions, including investment memos and transaction summaries.
• Support deal execution from initial evaluation through closing, helping manage timelines, diligence requests, and integration planning.
