Job summary

Nirvana Insurance is seeking a senior finance leader to own the Nirvana Insurance Services (NIS) financials, close, billing operations, and FP&A end to end. You will lead accounting, billing, and budgeting, partnering with cross-functional leaders and external auditors to drive revenue growth and profitability.

The role reports to the Head of Strategy & Finance, overseeing a small team and coordinating with Fleet, Business Auto, and Non-Fleet leads.

Qualifications

• Hands-on accounting and FP&A experience in a mid to large operating company.
• Detail-oriented, execution-focused, thrives in fast-paced environments.
• Able to translate complex financial concepts to varied stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A cycles with variance narratives.
• Own accounting close and revenue recognition for MGA commissions (ASC 606).
• Oversee premium billing, installment billing, and agency commission netting.
• Manage treasury for premium trust funding and fronting-carrier remittance.
• Reconcile reinsurance economics and create a unified data source.
• Oversee subproducer and agency agreements and remittance questions.
• Coordinate audit deliverables and prepare financial narratives for the board.
• Act as day-to-day partner to Fleet and Business Auto leads and build the team.
