Job summary

Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures seeks an Associate General Counsel to provide broad legal guidance across the organization's subsidiaries. You will support business development, marketing, contracts, and employee benefit plan compliance while coordinating with in-house and outside counsel.

The role requires a JD, Minnesota license, and 5+ years of corporate/M&A experience, including regulatory, tribal, and gaming law exposure.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in Minnesota.
• Experience in-house or at a law firm with corporate, M&A, and regulatory focus.
• Knowledge of gaming, tribal, employment, and contract law.

Responsibilities

• Advise Mille Lacs Corporate Ventures and subsidiaries on all areas of law.
• Provide legal support for business development, marketing, and administration; draft/assist contracts.
• Oversee employee benefit plan compliance, design and administration issues.
• Identify and analyze risks on development projects and acquisitions.
• Develop compliance processes with relevant industries and regulators.
• Supervise outside counsel and coordinate with tribal government counsel as needed.
