Job summary

MRK Partners, a private real estate investment and asset management firm, seeks a Corporate Controller to own the monthly close for 80+ entities across 9 states and to coordinate the annual audit and tax cycle. This hands-on role partners with executive leadership to keep financial information accurate and timely.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance and a CPA, with 10+ years in complex accounting and 4+ years in Controller roles within multi-entity real estate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive/complex accounting/finance experience.
• 4+ years in a Controller/Assistant Controller role within real estate or multi-entity environments.
• Strong GAAP, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and audit coordination knowledge.
• Experience with ERP and real estate software platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full monthly and annual close across 80+ entities.
• Oversee multi-entity consolidation and intercompany reconciliations.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Provide financial analysis to inform leadership decisions.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory work with external partners.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and reporting.
