Job summary

MRK Partners Inc. is seeking a Corporate Controller to serve as a direct financial thought partner to executive leadership and own the monthly close for 80+ entities across 9 states, ensuring accurate, timely financials.

This hands-on role oversees consolidation, intercompany eliminations, internal controls, and coordination of audits and tax cycles, while partnering with leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning. Travel up to 4 times per year may be required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with 3+ years as Controller or Assistant Controller.
• CPA required.
• Experience in real estate, property management, development, or related industries with multi-entity environments.
• Strong GAAP, budgeting, forecasting, and audit coordination knowledge.
• Ability to lead directly or via influence and scale the team as the portfolio grows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full monthly close process end to end: cutoff discipline, GL review, journal entries, accruals, reconciliation standards, consolidation and timely reporting.
• Oversee consolidation and intercompany reconciliation across dozens of legal entities, ensuring clean eliminations and balanced intercompany accounts.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures that protect the company and support operational efficiency.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting insight that informs business planning and leadership's strategic decisions.
• Coordinate annual corporate audits, tax preparation, and regulatory filings as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Be a key participant in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow monitoring, and reporting cycles alongside department leaders.
