Job summary

MRK Partners, a private real estate investment and asset management company, is seeking a Corporate Controller to own the monthly close process across 80+ entities and coordinate audits and tax cycles. This is a hands-on leadership role supporting executive decision-making.

You will drive consolidation, internal controls, budgeting and forecasting, and partner with leadership to shape financial strategy across 9 states and 11,000 units. CPA required and GAAP expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• CPA certification required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with 3+ years as Controller in real estate or related industry.
• Experience leading multi-entity consolidation and intercompany reconciliation.
• Strong GAAP, internal controls and audit coordination knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and annual close process end to end.
• Oversee multi-entity consolidation and intercompany reconciliations.
• Develop internal controls and accounting policies.
• Provide financial analysis to inform leadership and strategic decisions.
• Coordinate annual audits and tax filings with external auditors.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting cycles with department leaders.
