Job summary

32BJ Benefit Funds in New York seeks a Director, Corporate Controller to oversee all fiscal planning and accounting for the multi-employer funds. You will lead a ~25-person Accounting Management Team, ensure financial integrity, and advise the Board on complex financial matters.

You will drive strategy, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and BI initiatives, while coordinating with investments, legal, and operations to support sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
• 10+ years of executive level experience in a multi-faceted organization with significant financial management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction to the Accounting Management Team and senior leadership.
• Develop and communicate a clear department vision aligned with organizational goals.
• Establish objectives and performance metrics for the team and promote efficiency and proper controls.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for multiple funds.
• Lead stakeholder engagement with Boards, Investments, and executives to drive outcomes.
• Implement cross-training and staff development to build department resiliency.
