Job summary

Building Services 32BJ Benefit Funds is seeking a Director, Corporate Controller in New York, NY to lead the accounting and finance functions for ~25 staff across multiple funds. You will drive fiscal planning, ensure accurate financial reporting, and advise senior leadership and the Board on complex financial issues.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field and 10+ years’ executive experience, with strong GAAP knowledge, BI tool experience, and cross‑functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
• 10+ years of executive-level management experience in a large organization.
• Proficiency in BI tools to transform accounting and finance departments.
• Excellent experience with GAAP in a financial corporate setting.
• Experience presenting to Boards of Directors or Trustees.

Responsibilities

• Lead Accounting Management Team and align with Finance leadership.
• Oversee financial reporting to senior leadership, Board of Trustees, and auditors.
• Develop strategic vision for the department and align with organizational goals.
• Manage internal and external audits and ensure compliance.
