Job summary

Homecare Homebase, a Hearst Corporation subsidiary, seeks a Corporate Controller to lead core accounting functions, ensure financial accuracy, and maintain robust internal controls. The role reports to the VP of Finance and drives month-end close, policy enforcement, and scalable processes in a growth-focused environment.

The ideal candidate has a CPA, 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, and strong leadership and communication skills to partner with FP&A, Operations, and Revenue Cycle

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and accounting operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Manage accounting operations, policy enforcement, and journal entries.
• Lead balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses.
• Oversee capex tracking and reporting with approval workflows.
• Develop and monitor internal controls to protect assets and ensure data integrity.
• Assist with financial statements, reports, and audit readiness.
• Mentor accounting staff and collaborate with FP&A, Operations and Revenue Cycle.
