Job summary

Homecare Homebase, a Hearst Health subsidiary, is seeking a Corporate Controller in Dallas for leading accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and maintaining internal controls. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will oversee monthly closes, policy management, and broad financial reporting in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

The role requires US GAAP expertise, 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with supervision, and a CPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or controller-level role
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and accounting operations
• Experience with large-scale ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, Workday > Oracle Fusion, Zuora, Adaptive preferred)
• Healthcare, SaaS, or high-growth environments a plus
• Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor teams, build scalable processes, and collaborate cross-functionally
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes ensuring timeliness and US GAAP compliance
• Book monthly revenue, expenses, accruals, and journal entries accurately and timely
• Lead balance sheet reconciliation with supporting docs and variance analysis
• Manage corporate capital expenditure tracking and reporting, with reviews
• Establish and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate fraud risk
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards
• Support annual audits and tax/compliance reviews as required
• Maintain documentation and narratives for SOX/internal control readiness
• Supervise and mentor accounting team members and cross-functional liaison to FP&A, Operations, Revenue Cycle
• Assist with financial systems improvements and ERP optimization
• Support VP of Finance with ad hoc analyses and board presentations
