Job summary

Metabolon, Inc. seeks an experienced Corporate Controller to lead the accounting function and partner with senior leadership.

This role will oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and the systems necessary to support growth, reporting to the CFO and presenting to the Audit Committee. The position is based at Metabolon’s Morrisville, NC headquarters with onsite or hybrid arrangements (Tue–Thu onsite).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA a plus.
• Active CPA license.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with increasing leadership responsibility.
• Experience in professional services or project-based services; biotech/life sciences industry desirable.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls.
• Experience with multi-entity accounting and international matters; Sage Intacct experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations, including GL, cash management, invoicing, purchasing, accounts payable, and related activities.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation processes.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and management reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Analyze financial performance and communicate results to senior management and the Board.
• Maintain, improve, and scale accounting systems, policies, and controls for growth.
