Job summary

GrowthWise Search Partners is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead corporate accounting, oversee a team of about 9, and report to the CFO. The role blends hands-on accounting with people management to drive accuracy and efficiency across the finance function.

The ideal candidate has U.S. GAAP expertise, ERP systems experience, and a track record of process improvements. CPA background and apparel/consumer goods exposure are pluses. Compensation starts at $180,000+ per year with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing teams and implementing process improvements.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience utilizing an accounting ERP system.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vLookups, complex multi-tab spreadsheets).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all corporate accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet account reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP with a focus on accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Implement process efficiencies across financial reporting, payments, and credit / collections functions.
• Enhance, implement, and maintain effective internal controls with a focus on best practices and process improvements.
• Manage financial audits and serve as a key contact for external auditors.
• Manage tax compliance and filing requirements in coordination with tax advisors.
• Support the CFO in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support contract reviews, insurance matters and other projects as needed.
