Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) seeks a Corporate Controller to lead the global accounting organization. This role owns the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensures GAAP-compliant financial statements, and partners with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and Internal Controls to scale the business.

You will standardize processes, implement automation, and oversee consolidation, intercompany, and ERP enhancements while guiding a growing accounting team across units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; active CPA is required.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a Controller/Director role and 3+ years in Big 4 or large regional firm.
• Expert knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606/805/842; multi-entity consolidations.
• Proven track record leading external audits and improving close timeliness/quality.
• Manufacturing, industrial, construction, or project-based experience preferred.
• Experience integrating acquisitions into a corporate accounting function.
• Strong internal controls knowledge (COSO) and ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual close under U.S. GAAP.
• Drive faster, more predictable close with calendars, checklists, reconciliations, and automation.
• Oversee general ledger, consolidations, intercompany, fixed assets, leases, payroll, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Lead centralization of accounts payable with robust internal controls and fraud prevention.
• Govern Travel & Expense programs, corporate card controls, and policy enforcement metrics.
• Own the annual external audit and quarterly reviews; primary liaison with auditors.
• Document and maintain enterprise accounting policies; collaborate on ASC 606, business combinations, leases, equity.
• Provide oversight to operating unit controllers to ensure policy consistency.
