The Odom Corporation, a leading beverage distributor, seeks a Corporate Controller to own the accounting function and strengthen accuracy, discipline, and scalability of financial operations. This hands-on leader will drive close, reporting, policies, audit readiness, and strong internal controls while mentoring the accounting team and partnering with the CFO.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Progressive accounting leadership experience including ownership of the monthly close, financial reporting, external audit, internal controls, and team leadership.
• Experience improving accounting processes, clarifying roles, and leading change in a multi-location, inventory-intensive environment.
• Demonstrated command of U.S. GAAP and ability to translate accounting requirements into practical business processes and controls.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, chart of accounts, intercompany activity, and supporting accounting records.
• Improve close speed and reliability by standardizing work, resolving bottlenecks, and establishing effective review controls.
• Lead the annual external financial-statement audit and maintain year-round audit readiness.
• Design, document, and monitor practical internal accounting controls across key financial processes.
• Own accounting policies and significant technical conclusions under U.S. GAAP.
• Identify and escalate material accounting, reporting, control, or compliance risk.
• Provide oversight across cash, receivables, payables, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and other controllership activities.
• Clarify process ownership and eliminate duplication, manual rework, and single-person dependencies.
• Lead system and workflow improvements that increase accuracy, control, and efficiency.
• Develop an accountable, service-oriented accounting team through coaching and succession planning.
