Job summary

Gong is seeking a Corporate Communications Principal Director, a senior IC shaping how Gong tells its story to the world. You’ll partner with the Head of Corporate Communications to own corporate communications, executive positioning, and crisis management, working directly with Gong’s leadership.

This role blends drafting CEO op-eds with crisis response, executive coaching, and strategy across global communications.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in corporate communications at high-growth tech firms or leading PR agencies.
• Proven track record managing programs at scale with earned media strategy.
• Executive communications strategist and ghostwriter across multiple formats.
• Hands-on crisis communications leadership from detection to resolution.
• Experience advising C-suite executives in communications.

Responsibilities

• Develop Gong's global corporate narrative aligned with leadership, product, and GTM.
• Own earned media strategy for major announcements and milestones.
• Shape Gong's messaging framework for differentiation in AI markets.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align communications with business goals.
• Serve as primary ghostwriter for Gong’s CEO and senior leaders.
• Develop executive thought leadership across owned channels, media, and speaking platforms.
• Prepare executives for media interactions through media training and coaching.
• Identify speaking opportunities at top industry events and forums.
• Lead crisis communications framework and rapid response.
• Advise leadership during reputational issues and sensitive developments.
