Rho Nutrition is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting for a fast-growing, multi-channel CPG business. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will run the close, safeguard the integrity of our financial statements, lead tax and audit readiness, and build the processes, controls, and systems a fast-growing, multi-channel CPG business needs.

Competenze

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a CPG, food & beverage, dietary supplement, manufacturing, or e-commerce environment.
• 3+ years of experience leading or supervising accounting staff.
• Experience managing the full accounting cycle for a business selling across DTC, Amazon, wholesale, and retail channels.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition, inventory accounting, and cost accounting.
• Hands-on experience owning the month-end close and building scalable accounting processes.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, XLOOKUP, data analysis).

Mansioni

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, with a target of closing within three business days.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Deliver GAAP-compliant monthly financial statements and management reporting packages.
• Maintain general ledger integrity through regular balance sheet reviews and analyses.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and technical accounting guidance.
• Reconcile revenue and COGS across Shopify, Amazon Seller Central, wholesale distributors, and retail per ASC 606.
• Own inventory and cost accounting, including inventory balances, adjustments, and COGS reconciliations.
• Oversee AP and AR, including invoicing, collections, vendor onboarding, W-9/W-8 collection, and 1099 reporting.
• Review weekly AR aging and resolve payment disputes, deductions, and chargebacks.
• Oversee semi-monthly payroll in Rippling and review payroll reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Lead multi-state sales tax compliance and coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Prepare tax schedules and documentation, and track tax notices.
• Serve as primary accounting contact for external auditors and lead audit preparation.
• Design and maintain internal controls aligned with company growth and GAAP.
• Lead ERP implementation and ongoing optimization beyond QuickBooks Online.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve speed and accuracy.
• Supervise junior accountants handling reconciliations and daily accounting tasks.
