Job summary

CFS in South Bend, Indiana is seeking a hands-on Controller to own the finance function and partner with the CFO on strategic initiatives. You’ll lead all accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive timely close processes.

Qualifications

• BS in Accounting.
• Proven experience leading full-cycle accounting and close processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience managing and developing accounting teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, cash receipts, and fixed assets.
• Own the monthly and annual close processes in accordance with GAAP.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
• Manage consolidations and prepare accurate financial statements for leadership and the Board.
• Lead budgeting, audits, regulatory reporting, and cash/investment management.
