Job summary

Grange Co-op seeks a Controller to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls across multiple locations. You will report to the CFO, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with operational leadership to drive accurate financial performance.

This role leads a finance team, manages audits, and supports strategic decision-making through robust financial analysis and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Experience supervising accounting staff and managing accounting operations.
• Public accounting audit experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with internal controls, GAAP compliance, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience in multi-location operations, retail, agriculture, manufacturing, distribution, or cooperative environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations and GAAP-compliant reporting for multiple Grange Co-op locations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports for leadership and the Board.
• Oversee inventory valuation, costing, and reconciliations across locations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial modeling efforts.
• Manage treasury activities, including cash forecasting and banking relations.
• Strengthen internal controls, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and coach accounting staff and drive process improvements.
