Job summary

DiMercurio Advisors LLC is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our Managed Accounting Services (MAS) practice in Orlando. You will oversee multiple client engagements, supervise accounting staff, ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting, and serve as a strategic advisor to diverse business clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within public accounting, outsourced accounting, or client advisory services.
• Prior experience supervising accounting teams and managing client relationships.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency with accounting software platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Xero, or similar systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for multiple client engagements, including general ledger management, month-end/year-end close, financial statement preparation, cash flow management, budgeting/forecasting, and reconciliations.
• Review and analyze financial reports for GAAP compliance and accuracy.
• Serve as primary financial contact and trusted advisor for assigned clients; provide strategic insights to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Assist clients with process improvement, internal controls, and accounting system optimization.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop MAS team; review work for quality and timeliness; manage workflow and deliverables.
