Talentify in South Saint Paul, MN is seeking a seasoned Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting, GAAP reporting, and multi-entity consolidations. The role leads a small accounting team and reports to the CFO in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The Controller will drive ERP modernization, including Dynamics 365 Business Central, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, control, and scalability for a growing organization. On-site work required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Experience preparing and managing consolidated financial statements across multiple entities.
• Experience with joint ventures and intercompany accounting, or familiarity with these areas.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for multiple entities and joint ventures.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls across all processes.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to deliver timely financial information.
• Partner with CFO to support planning, reporting, and financial analysis initiatives.
• Oversee inventory accounting activities within a manufacturing environment and related reporting.
• Coordinate external audits and assist with tax and banking relationships.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team including managers and staff.
• Support ERP modernization efforts, including Dynamics transition and system improvements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.
