Job summary

CFS in Lutz, FL is seeking a Controller to lead our accounting team and partner with the CEO on financial strategy. You will oversee daily accounting operations, drive project accounting, and deliver timely statements to executive leadership.

You will strengthen internal controls, streamline processes, and mentor a high-performing team across multiple entities while collaborating with operations leaders to improve profitability and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong background overseeing AP, AR, and financial reporting.
• Experience with project accounting including AIA billing, job costing, and WIP reporting.
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online in multi-entity environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close activities.
• Manage project accounting functions such as AIA billing, job costing, and work-in-progress reporting.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and deliver meaningful reporting to executive leadership.
• Strengthen internal controls, streamline processes, and implement operational efficiencies.
• Serve as the Controller leading, developing, and mentoring a high-performing accounting team.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to support budgeting, project analysis, and business decision-making.
