Job summary

Jobot is hiring an experienced Controller for a heavy civil construction company specializing in maritime and infrastructure projects. The role oversees all accounting, financial reporting, cash management, job costing, and operational finance; Vista by Viewpoint experience is strongly preferred and will be leveraged across project management systems.

You will partner with executive leadership to drive financial performance, improve processes, ensure GAAP compliance, and support continued growth

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting and finance experience with leadership
• Experience in heavy civil, marine, infrastructure construction
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting: job costing, WIP, ASC 606, cash flow

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the accounting and finance team.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Deliver executive reporting packages including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, WIP schedules, and job cost analysis.
• Manage rolling cash forecasts and monitor key financial performance indicators.
• Oversee job costing and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Optimize Vista by Viewpoint configuration and integrations with project management systems.
• Lead technology initiatives to improve financial visibility and operational efficiency.
