Job summary

Cherry Bekaert LLP is seeking a Controller in Texas to lead the accounting function, deliver timely financial reporting, and strengthen internal controls. You will manage close cycles, oversee project and cost accounting, and drive ERP enhancements while guiding an accounting team through growth and change.

This role reports to the CFO and requires a hands-on leader with strong regulatory and audit coordination experience.

Qualifications

• Active CPA with valid license.
• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance required.
• Controller or accounting leadership experience required.
• Demonstrated experience with GAAP financial reporting.
• Experience coordinating external audits and tax reporting.
• ERP experience and process improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting functions and timely financial reporting.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closes with controls.
• Prepare financial statements and schedules for stakeholders.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain COA across entities.
• Oversee fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and consolidations.
• Drive ERP implementation, data standards, and process improvements.
• Lead the accounting team and develop staff performance.
