Ascape Landscape and Construction is seeking an experienced Controller to join our team in New York. The role directs financial statements, analytics, compliance, and controls to optimize results and support strategic decisions.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s in accounting or related field, 5+ years in finance, strong GAAP knowledge, payroll oversight, and proficiency with MS Office and accounting systems. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, managerial finance or related field is required.
• 5+ years in finance or accounting, including 3+ years managing accounting staff.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/FASB.
• Experience managing internal payroll operations.

Responsibilities

• Directing the preparation of financial statements and financial analysis.
• Managing compliance with local, state, and federal reporting, internal controls and tax filings.
• Creating reports to identify opportunities to improve financial results or address risk.
• Developing systems to improve division and company results.
• Leading, coaching and developing the accounting team.
