Job summary

Orion Placement seeks an accomplished accounting leader to run domestic and international operations from Sheboygan, WI. You will guide teams responsible for AR/AP, GL, cost accounting, and product costing, ensuring timely financial reporting and strong internal controls.

The role emphasizes month-end close, balance sheet integrity, and margin reporting, with involvement in transfer pricing, audits, and system improvements.

Qualifications

• CPA certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Proven accounting team leadership and management experience required.
• Strong progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, month-end close, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead domestic and international accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Oversee accounting managers and teams responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, and related functions.
• Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L variance analysis.
• Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, inventory controls, product costing, cost of goods sold, and gross margin reporting.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, local accounting requirements, and internal control standards.
• Oversee financial reporting and accounting activities for international subsidiaries.
• Support transfer pricing, international audits, tax reporting, and intercompany transactions.
• Manage banking relationships, cash management, wire and ACH controls, hedging activities, and insurance-related financial matters.
• Lead finance-related technology initiatives, system improvements, reporting automation, and process standardization.
• Support due diligence activities related to acquisitions, financing transactions, and other strategic initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, streamline processes, and increase efficiency.
• Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial information.
• Hire, coach, develop, and provide leadership to accounting professionals across the organization.
