Job summary

Westmoor Manufacturing seeks a Corporate Controller to lead and mentor the accounting teams (corporate accounting, A/P, A/R, credit, and customer service) while working closely with the CFO on growth initiatives. You will manage close processes, reporting, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, prior leadership of accounting teams, and ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
Experience leading and developing teams and implementing process improvements.
Experience utilizing an accounting ERP system.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, vLookups, complex multi-tab spreadsheets).

Responsibilities

Oversee corporate accounting functions including general ledger maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Implement process efficiencies across financial reporting, payments, and credit/collections functions.
Enhance, implement, and maintain internal controls with focus on best practices and process improvements.
Manage financial audits and serve as a key contact for external auditors.
Manage tax compliance and filing requirements with tax advisors.
Support the CFO in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, standards and regulatory requirements.
Support contract reviews, insurance matters and other projects as needed.
