Job summary

United Felts, a Vortex Company, seeks a hands-on Controller to own GAAP close, intercompany accounting, and location-based P&L accuracy. You will build processes in a PE-backed, multi-site manufacturing environment and partner with SVP Finance on sponsor reporting.

The role emphasizes standard costing, NetSuite ownership, and a path to audit-ready EBITDA reporting with robust addbacks and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA strongly preferred; experience in PE-backed environment a plus.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; 2–3 years in Controller role.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accrual accounting.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and multi-entity consolidation.
• Manufacturing industry experience with standard costing and inventory.
• Experience with NetSuite; ERP systems expertise.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process end-to-end and ensure GAAP-compliant entries.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules with defensible assumptions.
• Maintain accrual roll-forwards (inventory, reserves, taxes, bonuses) tied to budget.
• Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition across project-based streams.
• Own P&L by location reporting and Accurate EBITDA addbacks.
• Support intercompany transactions, consolidations, and foreign currency translation.
• Lead SOP design, data standards, and NetSuite system ownership.
