Job summary

United Felts, Inc. seeks a hands‑on Controller to own GAAP‑compliant financial statements and drive close discipline for a PE‑backed, multi‑location manufacturing business. This onsite role partners with SVP Finance and site leaders to standardize accounting processes.

The successful candidate has mature accounting judgment, strong control mindset, and experience building processes where little exists today, with oversight of intercompany and consolidation activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years progressive accounting experience; 2–3 years in Controller/Assistant Controller.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP and accrual accounting fundamentals.
• Experience in private equity‑backed or sponsor‑backed environments with EBITDA reporting.
• Intercompany accounting and multi‑entity consolidation experience.
• Manufacturing industry accounting, including standard costing and inventory valuation.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process end‑to‑end per close calendar.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules per US GAAP.
• Maintain monthly accrual roll‑forwards with documented assumptions.
• Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition to project‑based revenue streams.
• Own P&L by location reporting across the network; ensure proper allocation.
• Prepare EBITDA reporting with addbacks for sponsor reporting; provide documentation.
