Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader—construction or electrical contracting preferred.
• Strong understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, overhead burden and construction accounting.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate numbers into insights.
• Familiarity with Foundation Software and Payroll4 Construction is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Collaborative leader with clear communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including AP/AR, payroll, job costing, and month-end close
• Develop and maintain accurate financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts
• Implement strong internal controls and ensure compliance with industry standards
• Partner with project managers and leadership to analyze job performance and profitability
• Optimize financial systems, processes, and workflows
• Manage banking relationships, insurance, bonding, and audits
• Lead and mentor a small accounting team
• Provide back-up to other departments and staff, as necessary
