Job summary

Hotspot Cell Inc. in Hicksville, NY seeks a hands-on Controller to own daily financial operations and serve as a trusted advisor to ownership. This role blends bookkeeping with strategic financial leadership and coordination with our outside CPA.

You will oversee cash flow, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, budgeting, forecasts, A/P and A/R, and internal controls, translating numbers into actionable guidance for leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management experience, ideally within wireless retail or a similar industry.
• Experience working with outside accounting firms or CPAs.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and comfort presenting financial information to ownership.
• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential financial information.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily financial transactions, cash flow, and account reconciliations across all store locations.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the company and our external CPA/accounting firm, ensuring accurate and timely information flow for tax preparation, audits, and financial statement reviews.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for ownership.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and advise ownership on opportunities to improve profitability, reduce costs, and strengthen cash flow.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and internal controls.
• Support inventory and payroll‑related financial tracking as needed.
• Present financial findings and recommendations to ownership in clear, non‑technical terms.
