Job summary

Confidential Posting is seeking a hands-on Controller in the United States to lead the accounting function and tighten financial processes as the company scales. The role covers end-to-end accounting, monthly close, reporting, budgeting, billing, AR/AP, and interaction with an outside tax firm.

You will own process improvement, build scalable models in Excel, and communicate financial information clearly to leadership and the Board.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in startup or small company environments.
• Advanced Excel skills with financial models.
• Experience managing external firms and consultants.
• Proactive, driven with strong follow-through.
• Ability to balance day-to-day accounting with strategic priorities.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close and financial reporting.
• Manage billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Coordinate with outside tax firm and consultants.
• Document and improve accounting processes and models.
• Provide analysis to support planning and operating decisions.
• Prepare for future finance team growth.
