Job summary

Snapdocs seeks a seasoned Controller to own accounting end-to-end, from close to reporting, and to lead a small team with day-one management responsibility for two direct reports. You will shape the future of the accounting function with a clear, 12-month roadmap and drive improvements across processes and controls.

The role emphasizes GAAP compliance, audit readiness, and collaboration with Product, Revenue, and Finance to drive business decisions with strong technical judgment.

Qualifications

• CPA certification and active license.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with controller exposure.
• Strong GAAP, audit management, and controls knowledge.
• Experience leading teams through process or system changes.
• SaaS or recurring-revenue experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting function end to end, including close, audit readiness, technical accounting, compliance with GAAP, and core reporting operations.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, with day-one management responsibility for 2 direct reports and oversight across the broader team structure.
• Build a clear 12‑month roadmap for where accounting should go and translate it into a practical plan.
• Shorten close timelines, reduce manual work, and improve accounting systems and processes across the function.
• Partner with Product, Revenue, Customer Success, and Finance earlier in decision-making to influence work.
• Guide accounting decisions tied to new products, pricing or packaging changes, contract structures, and other business changes with technical judgment.
