Job summary

SAP NS2 seeks a Senior Contracts Manager to support government and regulated commercial customers. The role focuses on FAR Part 12 commercial contracts, reviews of DFARS, and negotiating terms to mitigate risk. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex regulatory requirements.

Preference for candidates near Herndon, VA, with the ability to obtain a security clearance. The position reports to a Sr. Director of Contracts within Legal and Contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 5-8+ years of commercial and federal contracting experience with expertise in US Government and FAR Part 12; 10+ years strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of US Government and federal agency regulations, FAR, DFARS and supplements.
• Strong contractual negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Candidates local to Herndon, VA office strongly preferred; ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide contractual advice and guidance on a broad range of contracts including FAR Part 12 commercial consulting services.
• Demonstrate strong diplomatic negotiation in finalizing agreements.
• Mitigate contractual risk and protect IP of software licenses and support agreements.
• Review complex proposals, solicitations, and resulting contracts/subcontracts.
• Support proposal development in line with solicitation instructions.
• Identify risks related to contract terms and company policies; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Draft, review, and approve contract modifications and amendments.
