Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Contract Specialist to support estimating, proposal development and procurement of master service agreements and site-specific projects for distribution, transmission, and substation construction.

The role focuses on maintaining strong customer relationships while equipping project teams with contract information to perform work per specification, safely and cost-effectively.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree preferably in engineering or business management.
• Strong mathematical, communication and computer skills.
• Knowledge of project management fundamentals.
• MS Office proficiency and general PC skills.
• Demonstrated written communication skills for proposals and technical documents.
• Demonstrated oral communication skills for presentations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with estimates and proposals for site specific projects and master service agreements.
• Review project plans and specifications and coordinate with the project team to confirm complete scope.
• Participate in customer pre-bid meetings (in-person or virtual).
• Identify risk issues and their order of magnitude.
• Solicit subcontractor and/or supplier information and pricing.
• Build relationships with customers, design team, suppliers and user groups.
