Job summary

The New York City Department of Correction (DOC) seeks a Contract Manager to support planning, development, processing, and administration of complex contracts as well as small purchases, following NYC PPB Rules and agency procedures.

The role reports to the Deputy Agency Chief Contracting Officer and collaborates with program units, budget, legal counsel, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient, transparent procurement activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; four years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in purchasing, procurement, contract administration or a related field; at least eighteen months in administrative, managerial or executive capacity or supervising personnel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, review, solicitation, evaluation, award and administration of large-scale, high-value contracts.
• Review requests for goods/services to ensure clear needs, specs, scopes, deliverables, performance standards, timelines and funding.
• Prepare and coordinate procurement documents, including RFPs, IFBs, scopes of work, specifications, evaluation materials, and award documentation.
