Job summary

Rio Grande Co. in Denver, Colorado, seeks a Contract Specialist II to review and administer commercial contracts while supporting accounts receivable and credit operations.

The role evaluates terms, identifies financial and operational risk, coordinates revisions, and maintains contract records with minimal supervision. The position partners with sales, operations, accounting and legal counsel, mentoring AR team members and handling complex matters as an individual contributor.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in accounts receivable and/or credit processing.
• Five years of experience in commercial contract review.
• Knowledge of contract administration, accounts receivable, credit, and collection processes.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and work under minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Review commercial contracts and related documents for accuracy and consistency with company requirements.
• Evaluate terms involving pricing, payment, insurance, indemnity, and risk; recommend revisions as appropriate.
• Prepare contract redlines, supporting documents and approvals.
• Maintain organized contract files, logs and renewal deadlines.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, accounting and legal counsel on complex issues.
• Support accounts receivable, credit applications, notices, liens and collection efforts.
