MEMBERS1ST COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION is seeking a Consumer Loan Analyst to review and underwrite loan applications, analyze borrower data, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. The role involves collaborating with loan officers, processors, and leadership to deliver responsible lending opportunities while maintaining member focus.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a lending or customer service role at a financial institution, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a financial institution customer service role.
• Prior lending, loan processing, or underwriting experience required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review consumer loan applications thoroughly, including credit reports, income verification, employment history, collateral information, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze borrower financial data, including income, debts, assets, liabilities, credit history, and DTI/risk.
• Evaluate collateral for secured loans and determine loan-to-value adequacy.
• Verify information with employers, financial institutions, dealers, and other sources as needed.
• Apply lending policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulations to each loan request.
