Members1st-Community-Credit-Union seeks a Consumer Loan Analyst to assess creditworthiness, analyze financial data, and determine terms within authority while ensuring compliant, member-focused loan decisions.

You will collaborate with loan officers, processors, and leadership to support responsible lending and reduce risk, delivering consistent, high-quality service to members and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a financial institution customer service role required.
• Prior lending, loan processing, or underwriting experience required.
• Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review consumer loan applications thoroughly, including credit reports, income verification, employment history, collateral information, and supporting documentation.
• Analyze borrower financial data, including income, debts, assets, liabilities, credit history, debt-to-income ratio, payment capacity, and overall risk profile.
• Evaluate collateral for secured loans and determine loan-to-value and documentation adequacy.
• Verify information provided by applicants by contacting employers, financial institutions, dealers, and other sources as needed.
• Apply lending policies, underwriting guidelines, and regulations to each loan request.
• Approve, deny, or recommend loan decisions within assigned authority.
