Job summary

Sinclair Community College is seeking a Project Management Specialist for Planning and Construction at the Main Campus in Dayton, OH. The role provides operational, administrative, and technical support across major and minor building projects, including new construction, renovations, and related procurement.

The position emphasizes meticulous data gathering, project tracking, and documentation across planning, design, and construction activities to keep projects organized and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required with ability to obtain within three months of hire.
• Minimum of ten years of related experience in planning, construction, or facilities.
• Project management skills and knowledge of construction standards, procedures, and materials.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
• Experience with document control and project close-out processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate stakeholders and facilitate communication among end-users, administration, and consultants for major and minor projects.
• Support long-range planning, budgeting for capital and small projects, and prepare planning/reports for state boards.
• Obtain and review drawings, manuals, and records to document changes from construction and renovations.
• Organize project planning, track milestones, and monitor costs to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Coordinate logistics of relocations and assist with final occupancy of renovated spaces.
• Oversee external consultants to ensure designs meet institutional standards.
