Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Project Manager in Utah (Sandy) to oversee construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality outcomes. You will coordinate with clients, engineers, and subcontractors, manage schedules, monitor expenses, and lead diverse teams to successful project completion.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 5+ years of PM experience, and strong knowledge of construction processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred.
• PMP certificate preferred.
• 5+ years of applicable experience.
• Proven experience in project management.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to establish project requirements and specifications.
• Create and maintain project schedules.
• Monitor project expenses and financial performance, identifying and addressing any changes in the budget.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize project costs.
• Prepare project budgets and cost estimates ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including construction crews, subcontractors, and support staff.
• Conduct regular meetings with project stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and resolve issues.
• Serve as the primary point for clients throughout the duration of the project.
• Provide regular updates on project progress, addressing any questions or concerns.
• Identify potential risks and obstacles that may impact project delivery or performance.
• Develop strategies and plans to minimize disruptions and delays.
• Monitor projects closely.
